General Relativity
Albert Einstein discovered the general theory of relativity in 1915 AD. The basic idea behind relativity is that the speed of light in a vacuum, approximately 299,792 kilometers per second, is the absolute maximum speed, and nothing in the universe can travel faster than this speed.
